Spring Break Day 1

Today we grabbed some standing room only tickets to a cardinals sparing training game against the twins. We got up and headed to Fort Myers around 11 as the game started at 1pm. We had standing room only tickets so it was really about watching a few innings, eating some ballpark food, and enjoying the sunshine.

We decided since we were so close to Captiva, we might as well go down there, eat at The Mucky Duck, enjoy the beach, and grab some cake to take home from The Bubble Room.

Got a little sun burnt/wind burnt but the temps were great, lot of wind, surf was out of control, and seeing the cardinals was awesome. Successful day.

We went over to El Yunque rain forest.  They have a visitor center, lots of hiking trails, and a few waterfalls to visit.  We did a quick road side lunch and there were some great times admiring the beauty of the area.

Aruba - Day 2 - Beach

We slept to a "reasonable" hour and awoke to eat some breakfast.  Good old peanut butter and jelly on toast on the patio.  Weather is of course remarkable.  We did a 1.25 hour workout outside and then a quick jump into the pool to cool off.  Wow it felt good.  We then showered and put on the beach gear and headed down by the high rise district.  Parked and grabbed lunch at Salt and Pepper where we ate Tapas.  We had teriyaki chicken, bruschetta, leompia, Mahi Mahi, and bread.  Sangria was the drink of choice.  It was the perfect portion and very tasty.  We left lunch and headed to the beach where we enjoyed, powder white sand, nice breezes and beautiful crystal clear water.  It truly is amazing the water here.  Although the temperature outside is about 90 degrees, the breeze makes it feel cooler, and the water is not as warm as you would think.  Still a quick chill when you get in.
