Philly
Work sometimes brings some good locations to explore and have a few small adventures. Philadelphia is no exception. I'm right downtown in the middle of Philly and it turns out there are some great places to eat here!
Green Eggs Cafe - Great breakfast/lunch location. I had Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. I will say the cream cheese spread in the salmon was a bit overwhelming and rich a few times, but overall, the food and service was great. This place is cash only, so you have to be aware of this, but I'd definitely recommend it.
Barbuzzo Restaurant - Mediterranean - Had dinner here. Small place with a full bar. Had a great lemonade drink and tons of food I have no idea how to spell or pronounce. I'd really rate it a 4.5 out of 5 and only because the space was so tight you really have difficulty relaxing. As far as the food, it was amazing.
McGillin's Olde Ale House - Drinks/Dinner - This is a pub that throws food out there. Loud, crowd, and lots of partying going on here. Had a German sausage platter and Shepherd's Pie, a Nacho special and the Margarita special. Drinks seemed light (what can you expect for $3) and the food was just ok. Fun atmosphere, but packed and loud.
IndeBlue - Indian - I had lunch here one day. The location was tidy and clean, moderately crowded for lunch, and staff friendly. I had a lunch special where I got to choose a couple of options. I had the BBQ Spare Rib Samosa Rolls, and Chicken Tikka Wrap with spicy fries. Food was excellent and I'm by no means an expert of Indian food, but I half expected it would be flavored a bit more. Each item had a sauce on side, both of which tend to be creamy (which I did expect) and were complimentary to the dish. I'd recommend it for lunch or dinner. They also had some of the coolest tools (silverware).
