Sea Turtle

Sea Turtle is a 1990 Seaward 25 sailboat.  She was purchased about 3 year ago and we've done a little continued work on her.  She has a 8 HP Tohatsu outboard with tiller steering.
Here are just a few things we've done:

  • Composting head by Nature's Head
  • all new interior and exterior cushion covers
  • buffed and waxed exterior
  • new bimini frame and custom made bimini
  • Mainsail stack pack
  • roller furler by CDI installed
  • converted hank on 130 Genoa to furler ready with sun band added
  • solar panel from Solbian w/ controller
  • a pair of new 6v golf cart batteries wired in series
  • New lifelines
  • all new running rigging
  • all led lighting interior and exterior
  • all new led lighting on the trailer
  • new trailer disc brakes from kodiak
  • new brake tongue actuator
  • new trailer tires
  • new trailer bunk boards and carpet
  • custom built mast raising system.

We went over to El Yunque rain forest.  They have a visitor center, lots of hiking trails, and a few waterfalls to visit.  We did a quick road side lunch and there were some great times admiring the beauty of the area.

Aruba - Day 2 - Beach

We slept to a "reasonable" hour and awoke to eat some breakfast.  Good old peanut butter and jelly on toast on the patio.  Weather is of course remarkable.  We did a 1.25 hour workout outside and then a quick jump into the pool to cool off.  Wow it felt good.  We then showered and put on the beach gear and headed down by the high rise district.  Parked and grabbed lunch at Salt and Pepper where we ate Tapas.  We had teriyaki chicken, bruschetta, leompia, Mahi Mahi, and bread.  Sangria was the drink of choice.  It was the perfect portion and very tasty.  We left lunch and headed to the beach where we enjoyed, powder white sand, nice breezes and beautiful crystal clear water.  It truly is amazing the water here.  Although the temperature outside is about 90 degrees, the breeze makes it feel cooler, and the water is not as warm as you would think.  Still a quick chill when you get in. Columbia, Mo to Palm Harbor, FL

We begin the trip from Columbia, MO to Palm Harbor, FL.  Load up the bikes, paddle board, and some goodies and head out for 2 days of driving. You gotta love that Alabama sky! Beautiful trees across the street from our house.
