Leaving St. Louis
We woke up this morning and hit the free continental breakfast at the hotel. Leam stayed in bed of course and requested we return with morsels he might find acceptable. Landon, of course, was more than happy to be roused and accompanied us. We packed up afterwards, hit the valet up to return the car, and took off east towards our destination of somewhere near Blue Ridge, GA. About 9 hours was the toll and it had been a while since we had completed a trip that long in the car. Everyone was prepared with snacks, a health supply of electronic devices, and the hope of the Cardinals baseball game being on satellite radio at 1:15pm. The trip was pretty fun actually. We snacked, stopped about every 2 hours to empty the various bladders that were inside, and grabbed additional food from McDonald's and Burger King. We made our way as far as the directions recommended following GPS and got back to good old paper directions from there :) We arrived at the cabin of destination at 7:40pm after adjusting for the time change and began unloading. The cabin is really nice, right on a stream, and plenty of room for all of us to enjoy. Pictures following of course. Tired from the drive, but all the boys are settling in, the lady folks have been to the store and back for basic provisions (of course diet coke was a requirement!) and I'm just catching up on my gerbiling. Tomorrow you ask? I have no idea.
