Relax, Shop, and Food

Leaving St. Louis was actually written and meant to be posted yesterday, Sunday, July 22nd but alas, last night the internet connection decided it was all done \o/.  Today, most of the peeps slept in.  Some of the younger crowd didn't arise until noon.  I hauled myself out of bed and had a couple of work items that needed to be completed, but of course, the internet in the cabin was not cooperating, so off to town I went in search of an internet connection.  I dropped by the local Arby's, grabbed a sandwich and a Mountain Dew, and then headed for McDonald's to become the electronic leech of their connection.  45 minutes or so later I had finished with the work stuff, tanked up on gas, and then headed back to the cabin.  The drive is about 20 minutes although it is only about 11 miles or so.  Many twisty and winding roads to get here.  After getting back, everyone decided to spend some time messing around in the creek, and Landon and Leam decided to hit the hot tub for a bit.  Nan and I spent some time testing the porch swing and yep, it squeaks nicely and rocks well :)  Now getting ready to head into town, check out the local scene and find a place to chow.

Local scene was pretty cool.  We headed downtown and there were lots of shops and stores to explore.  Found a couple of t-shirts, a hat, and some goodies to purchase.  We then decided to have a bite to eat at Blue Jean's Pizza.  Nan and Sarah shared a stromboli, I had a large Greek salad, Leam had baked ziti, and Landon the good old reliable and dairy free hamburger and fries :)  Back to the cabin the boys are racking up for some pool!
