Sailing!

Today we loaded up the boat and headed to Thomas Hill Reservoir.  It is about 55 miles or so but a quick drive up 63.  It took us about an hour to step the mast and rig the boat.  Not bad for our first time.  The new motor was a breeze to start and use.  Sailing was good, but wind a bit light today.  Probably a good day to test everything out.

We went over to El Yunque rain forest.  They have a visitor center, lots of hiking trails, and a few waterfalls to visit.  We did a quick road side lunch and there were some great times admiring the beauty of the area.

Aruba - Day 2 - Beach

We slept to a "reasonable" hour and awoke to eat some breakfast.  Good old peanut butter and jelly on toast on the patio.  Weather is of course remarkable.  We did a 1.25 hour workout outside and then a quick jump into the pool to cool off.  Wow it felt good.  We then showered and put on the beach gear and headed down by the high rise district.  Parked and grabbed lunch at Salt and Pepper where we ate Tapas.  We had teriyaki chicken, bruschetta, leompia, Mahi Mahi, and bread.  Sangria was the drink of choice.  It was the perfect portion and very tasty.  We left lunch and headed to the beach where we enjoyed, powder white sand, nice breezes and beautiful crystal clear water.  It truly is amazing the water here.  Although the temperature outside is about 90 degrees, the breeze makes it feel cooler, and the water is not as warm as you would think.  Still a quick chill when you get in.
