Drive to Mesa Verde

We got up, packed our goods, and got out of Grand Canyon National Park by 8:30am.  The crew really knows how to break camp now.  We hit the road and started the 5 hour or so drive.  We also lose an hour from Arizona to Colorado since Arizona doesn't use daylight savings.  We drove the Navajo reservation land and there were some nice views on some areas and just scrag desert in other areas.  We stopped in Kayenta at McDonalds to take advantage of wifi and eat.  We ran into these 3 guys who were bicycling from west coast across America to the east coast.  They were really interesting to talk with and have a blog!!

We decided we would follow them on the blog :)

We stopped in Cortez, CO at Walmart Supercenter to stock up on provisions and then it was only 9 miles to the camp ground.  Our two campsites are across from each other so we set the boys to setting up their own site while Jerry and I setup our side.  It was great to watch then from scratch work together to setup their own campsite without any help from us!  We were proud of them for the work they did.

For dinner, we had tacos and chips.  The boys finished up the evening playing some hacky sack.
