Zion National Park
Jerry and I rose early and went in to grab some coffee. We came back, started a fire, and broke out breakfast items like left over pancakes, cereal and granola bars, and orange juice. We packed up and prepared to head over to Zion National Park which was about 1.5 hours away. We arrived and the first amazing thing is the drive to get back into the park entrance. The geography is markedly different than Bryce Canyon with the rock being much larger and the park much bigger. We decide to hike the Emerald Pools and do all 3 levels which is a moderate difficulty hike with a fair amount of climbing and about 3 miles. Great views and good hike. Braden, Leam, and I decided to hit the museum of history and then return to the visitor center while Jerry, Will, Zach, and Christian hiked Hidden Canyon and Weeping Rock. We joined up at 5:30 or so and headed back home for dinner of hamburgers, hot dogs, left over baked beans, raw veggies, and Mrs. Eiffert's cookies :). Another great day.
