Vegas
It was the day to pack up and get ready to leave Bryce Canyon. Will, Zach, and Jerry decided to get up and see the sun rise over Bryce Canyon. After their return to the campsite, we started breaking everything down and packing up. We were really pretty efficient at getting it loaded and ready to go. We were packed and out of there by 8:30.
Here is a little video that was put together of the first few days. Please forgive the short time to compile, edit, and put it together on my limited equipment and connection here :) Full screen, 1080p quality is really best.
We fueled up and headed towards Las Vegas. The drive was only about 5 hours not to mention we slip into Pacific Time so we had plenty of time. We decided we would stop in St. George and treat the boys to Red Robin. We sailed into Las Vegas easily by 1:30 pm Pacific Time and made our way into the Holiday Inn in Henderson, NV which is just south of Vegas. At the hotel, we walk in and find that Jerry has been named guest of the day, haha. This got him an additional gift basket and a few laughs from us. We let the boys change clothes and hit the pool while we showered, changed clothes, and started a load of laundry. It was decided to have our evening meal at Grimaldi's pizza inside the Ventian Casino and Hotel. The pizza is cooked in a coal fired oven and was delicious and topped off by dessert of cannoli's and cheesecake. We walked down the Las Vegas strip and watched the Bellagio fountains dance and then grabbed our car and headed back to the hotel. Upon arrival, we locked down the boys in the rooms while Jerry and I scouted out a laundrymat so we could do 5 loads of laundry at once and knock it out. We got back about 12:30 to room and crashed. Another great day with the guys and some good time preparing and reviewing the many "interesting" things about Las Vegas. The reactions from the different boys was very interesting but a really good experience for all I believe.
