GC Rim Hike

We were up pretty early probably because of time zone changes.  The weather here is much warmer and not nearly as cold at night.  Daytime in upper 80s and nighttime somewhere around upper 50s or seems.  We made breakfast burritos for breakfast (bacon, eggs, cheese, tortilla shells), then decided to hit the general store so I could post using the wifi and we caught the shuttle there to go down to Hopi point and hike back to our start point.  It turned out to be about 3 miles along the rim, some beautiful views and lots of pictures were snapped.  We rode the shuttle back to the general store, grabbed the van, then headed back to campground to have some sandwiches.  We ate, cleaned up, and Jerry and I went to the Headquarters to talk to the rangers about how best to hike into the canyon tomorrow.  They gave some great advice and we dropped by the general store where Jerry got a knee brace and was sold on a easy pack size hammock!  This turned out to be the afternoon hit as everyone took turns in the new hammock.  We hung out, played around, and prepped for supper where we had chicken fajitas with onions and green peppers, chips and salsa, finished off with a chocolate ding dong for dessert.  Another fun day.
